Broadcast
- I am a broadcast lighting cameraman based in South East England working extensively in London and the South East, but regularly shoot throughout the UK and Europe, for both British and Foreign Broadcasters as well as Corporate and Commercial clients.
The majority of my work is factual based programming and sport with the Corporate sector playing an ever increasing role, I have 22 years experience working as a freelance lighting cameraman and have worked for many Broadcasters over the past years including BBC, Sky News, Sky Sport News, GMTV, Discovery, ITV, Meridian TV, plus International Broadcasters from Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Belgium and many more. - Currently I am shooting with both Sony Digital Betacam and DVCam standard definition camera units either with a sound engineer or single crew. When a High Definition commission is requested a Sony HDW 750 camera is hired.
Over the past two years substantial investment has been made in new camera and post production equipment, allowing us to bring our edit and post facilities in house with Apple Final Cut Pro and the Decklink range of video cards. Within the next year or so we have plans to purchase the new and latest generation of the Sony High Definition Digital Camera the long awaited PDW 700 4-2-2 XDCam unit. This will bring true high definition full raster images to location shoots, disk file recording, with rates close to today’s prices charged for Digital Betacam.
